Smart and compact: a tailor-made container solution

In the heart of Brussels, Les Cuisines Bruxelloises – the central kitchen of the City of Brussels – prepares more than 12,000 fresh school meals every day for children in both Dutch- and French-speaking schools. This impressive daily output requires flawless coordination, strict hygiene standards, and reliable technology.

To meet this challenge efficiently and sustainably, Les Cuisines Bruxelloises chose Clayton of Belgium’s innovative steam solutions.

Working closely with technical manager Khoren Vardanyan, the Clayton team designed a fully integrated steam installation, perfectly tailored to the needs of the kitchen team. The solution features two CSM 45 steam generators, each delivering 450 kW of power.

The entire system is housed in a 40-foot container – a compact and strategic choice:

  • Space-saving, ideal for urban environments;
  • Flexible, easily relocated when needed;
  • Efficient maintenance, thanks to smart integration of all components.

 

REMOTE CONTROL AND FULL PROCESS EFFICIENCY

One of the system’s key advantages is its remote start function. Kitchen staff can activate the steam system directly from the control panel in the kitchen, precisely when steam is needed – minimizing idle time and reducing energy waste.

The steam delivered is of consistently high quality, with a stable pressure and very low moisture content – essential factors for smooth and safe cooking operations. This leads to:

  • Reliable and repeatable cooking processes;
  • Fewer technical interruptions;
  • Maximum food safety and hygiene.
