Clayton of Belgium in Bornem is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. To celebrate, the company organised a staff party for its employees, retired staff and their families on Saturday 18 September.
Clayton is an American company with offices around the world. It is headquartered in California. Established in 1961, Clayton of Belgium is the EMEA headquarters for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Russia. The Bornem plant manufactures quality steam generators that produce steam from a cold state in just minutes, using the countercurrent principle. Clayton applications can be found in many industries such as pharmaceuticals, breweries, power plants, hospitals, airlines, etc.
On Saturday 18 September, Clayton of Belgium organised a party to celebrate its personnel. The staff party invited staff and their families, as well as former colleagues who have retired. Even John Clayton, third generation of the company's founder flew from California to Bornem to attend the party. Some international colleagues were also present.
Children entertained themselves with bouncy castles, a VR experience, a stilt walker, a clown and a DJ workshop. Food was offered by various stalls, so there was something for everyone. In addition, the production area and offices were open to the public. A brief word from John Clayton and Dirk Van Dijck, the general manager of Clayton of Belgium, was followed by a raffle with very nice prizes. A little later in the evening the dance floor was set and everyone went home with a well-filled goodie bag.
