Visit to Vaccinopolis: Innovation in Infectious Disease Research Supported by Reliable Steam Technology

We recently visited Vaccinopolis, the impressive and state-of-the-art research facility located on the University of Antwerp campus. This pioneering site is dedicated to accelerating research into infectious diseases and the evaluation of vaccines, with a strong focus on clinical trials and safety.

During an insightful tour led by Bart Van Meerbergen, Head of Operations at Vaccinopolis, we gained a unique perspective on the structure and functioning of this high-tech environment. It is a place where clinical research, specialized laboratories, and multidisciplinary expertise converge in one integrated infrastructure.

For this advanced facility, Clayton Steam supplied an electric steam generator, type V-15 (150 kWe), equipped with a fully modulating, thyristor-controlled power regulation. This technology ensures precise, energy-efficient, and reliable steam delivery — a critical requirement in an environment where control and precision are key.
