Clayton is a family business in more than one level.

The Vermeiren family has been part of Clayton for more than 60 years and 3 generations. A story that fits perfectly with Clayton’s identity as a family business.

It all started with Willy Vermeiren, who joined Clayton in 1964. He spent most of his career in service as a technician, starting up installations all over the world in nearly 70 countries. He also worked as an assembly team leader for a while. His dedication and hands-on mindset helped build Clayton’s reputation, before he retired in 1998.

The next generation, Dirk, followed in his footsteps in 1994, starting as a mechanical and electrical assembler. Over the years, experience grew into responsibility, leading to the role of Assembly Team Leader in 2007.

Today, the third generation is on board as well. Jannic Vermeiren joined Clayton in 2023 in Quality Control, and Rune started in 2025 as an electrical assembler of control cabinets.

Three generations, one company, and the same shared values: commitment, craftsmanship, and family spirit.

The Vermeiren family story shows how Clayton is not just a workplace, but a family business where people grow together.
